Hey everyone I'm going to Vandy as a freshman next year, gonna do pre-med and hopefully apply to med school. I guess this post's for people who are aleady in Vandy and know about BME and other programs.

I got admitted to School of Engineering and was planning on doing BME, but since then I've heard a lot of stories. I've heard how hard it is to get a good GPA (really important for med school), how big of a workload it is, how if you do BME you can't find time for other stuff, etc. So now I'm getting skeptical. BME sounds interesting, and I know it looks awesome if you apply to med school (plus you have the engineering option as a backup), but I'm wondering if I should just transfer to A&S and do Biology plus another major. That way I can hopefully get a better GPA and still have time for other stuff (whether it's another major, or just more free time to socialize).

Any insight on what I should do, who I should talk to etc.? Thanks.
