Biomolecular Engineering Minor at uchicago

Can anybody shed some light on this major/minor for me? I just simply don’t know much about it. I’ve also tried talking with one of the directors of the program but haven’t gotten any replies. My advisor also seems clueless about it.

Given my professional interests, this might be a good degree for me.

bradybest - are you a current undergrad?

yes, current ugrad

Wow I’m sorry about that. No one will know more than the administrators of the program. And it’s very unfortunate that your advisor can’t help.

How about contacting the “Careers in STEM” office. On the UChicago web site there are 3 contact names. My own student has had good success with these offices. If they can’t tell you specifically, they can point you in the right direction.

Are you a first year? The bio department sent out a list of classes that are under MENG for this upcoming quarter. Presuming that you’ve already checked out the college catalog (http://collegecatalog.uchicago.edu/thecollege/molecularengineering/), have you tried talking to Professor Tirrell? The advisors are honestly not very helpful when it comes to going in depth about specific majors, especially since molecular engineering is still in the works.
