<p>alright so i was wondering what schools have strong bio programs because im probably gonna major in that area (like physio and human anatony ish). I guess im probably also taking premed classes so I can apply to med school later on. So waht schools fit this and also have a friendly atomosphere, neighborhood, social scene? </p>
<p>so far im applying to most UCs b/c im frum California.</p>
<p>Im also going got BROWN, UPENN, CARNEGIE MELLON, DUKE.</p>

<p>Bio is big right now. Practically every quality college/university has a good program for it, except some artsy places. In Cali, you have UCLA, UCB, and UCSD up top, Harvey Mudd for a more focused environment, Caltech if you're a hard science junkie, and of course Stanford up north which is terrific for everything except music (rats for me).</p>
<p>Other renowned institutions: You've got Brown, UPenn, CM and Duke already, then there's Johns Hopkins, Rice, Swarthmore, Colgate, University of Rochester, Northwestern, Trinity...the list is pretty extensive. It depends on what other qualities you're looking for. It looks like you're into big universities instead of LACs, but I thought I was that way too until I discovered Amherst and Bowdoin (two other great ones for Biology).</p>
