I just got into UC Davis as a biological systems engineering major, I picked it because it sounded the coolest and closest to whatI want to do, which is improving the quality of the environment. I have since read, however, that many chemE majors are basically environmental engineers, also realizing that I have no idea what biosystems engineers work on specifically. Which degree would help me realize my goals of helping the environment to the fullest? I couldn't care less about the pay, since they're all engineering degrees the money will be decent regardless, and I don't make decisions based on money. I am competent as all sciences and I truly enjoy math, by the way, and I have already taken 5 engineering courses in high school, just as some backround.
