I'm going as mechanical engineering major and I have a choice between Biotech and AP Psychology right now. Biotech is not an AP class but it agrees with my major and students at my school have said it is an easy class. AP Psychology has nothing to do with my major and this is the first year that our school is having it; however, it is an AP class.

I am already taking three other AP classes, should AP Psych be the 4th or should I add Biotech to make me look like I'm swaying towards engineering. I am interested in human behavior but going into engineering is safer.

If you’re seriously interested in engineering then I think you should give Biotech a shot.

You’re pretty lucky to have biotechnology at your school. My school offered it a couple of times, but it ended because little people actually knew about it. I would definitely go with biotech, it’s more unique.

I would go with Biotech. It’s pretty hard to replicate that class at home because it involves a lot of hands-on type activities and labs. You can always learn the material for AP Psychology on your own - that way you get both. And you should never take a class just because it’s AP.

Thanks guys, I just emailed my counselor on the availability of biotech.
