Biotechnology

If I were to get an undergradaute degree in Biology, would I be able to do a masters in bioengineering/biotechnology? I am debating between a degree in molecular and celluar biology or general biology and was wondering which would give me the edge for graduate school. I prefer general biology, so the main question is if that will enable me to get a masters in biotech field?

I'm pretty sure you can. Plus, I wouldn't be so sure as to exactly what branch of bio you want to do right now. Two months ago I thought I hated genetics. Now it's my favorite field in bio. So you never know.

Look at grad school info in different colleges and check out their reqs for biotech/bioengineering. In the worst case, just take summer courses or something.

Thanks for the help Karabas!

I'll concur with Karabas: most grad schools don't expect you to specialize within a particular field of biology during your undergraduate years (although if you want to major in cell bio and go into bioengineering, you might want to take diff eq and some intro engineering courses).
