My b-day is in a few weeks, and my family/friends are asking me what I want for it. Problem is, I can't think of anything to get, so if any of you can suggest something, I'd be grateful. CD suggestions are good (I'm into most everything, underground hip-hop [mos def, blackstar, talib kweli], alternative/indie rock [flaming lips, modest mouse, the shins, dcfn, muse, radiohead, paloalto], and just some random electronic stuff [kenna, juno reactor, etc])

do a search on amazon.com and look around-- you're bound to see something you'll like

and happy birthday!

I-pods are pretty cool. But they're expensive:that could be your parent's gift.

I don't know... The way I do it is if I can't think of anything I really want, then I don't ask for anything. If I want something when it's not my birthday I just ask for it.

ummm these are good new albums

Taking Back Sunday
Killers
Starting Line

i like Encore too

A car? j/k :-)

Think of something useful...I mean, for my birthday this year I got a nice pair of binoculars to take to basketball and football games.

Ipods are totally worth it. Maybe see if your friends could contribute small amounts to its purchase and you parents could pay the rest. Honestly I would give up my next 3 birthdays for my ipod.

You should check out ebay if you really want an ipod. Some of them are brand new, not even opened, and are for a lot less than in store. I bought my labtop on ebay (Apple Powerbook) for $2200 when it was worth well over $4000. It was used for less than a month but in perfect condition. So I definetely suggest you do some hunting on ebay!!

Ask for money. You can't go wrong with that.

Yes money can never go wrong.

Wouldlikefrieswiththat, good screenname! In one of the yearbooks I signed for a guy who was known to be somewhat dumb, I ended with, "And yes, I would like fries with that."
