im confused as to whether the tuition we're paying for is calculated by the amount of units we sign up for or if its just a flat rate. i can't find anything on any of berkeley's websites that is of much help. i've checked the financial aid site and they're just as vague as every other link on berkeley's site. i'm trying to figure out if it would be cheaper to just take a future class during the fall/spring semester rather than during the summer if it is cheaper. but i dont know how the rates work, so im not really sure what would be better. any info would help.

Fall and Spring fees are flat rate — whether you take the minimum or maximum no. of units. It’s calculated a little differently for summer.
