Fees etc.

I read on one (of the many) Berkeley sites that we are charged a fixed amount per semester. Does that mean no matter how many classes we take (up to 20 credits), the cost will be approximately the same?

I know some universities that charge per course, so I'm confused.

Also, is there a site that provides an exact estimate of costs (for international students)? I've been to the following three and they all give different numbers.

http://registrar.berkeley.edu/Registration/feesched.html
http://students.berkeley.edu/admissions/general.asp?id=26
http://students.berkeley.edu/fao/ugbudget07-08.html

Bloody hell, why does cal have so many diff sites?!

I don't know, but I agree that trying to find out information on their enormous amount of sites and phone numbers is extremely frustrating

Cal only charges per unit during summer session. During fall/spring, you do not get charged per unit, but rather per semester.

Your links are to previous years. This is next year's estimate of costs.
