BLAH! Next year's schedule seems to be doomed because of Community College's catalog.

http://secure.glendale.edu/schedules/deptsched.asp?term=20062&type=&dept=SPANISH

I'm in Spanish 3-4 (second year) in my high school and I wanted to take something equivalent to Spanish 5-6 (third year). I was thinking Spanish 103 at a community college, but the highest it goes to is Spanish 102.

Do you guys think my counselor will let me take AP Spanish if I take Spanish 102 at the community college? It seems insufficient because it's "beginner".

But then again, looking at their other courses:
http://win2k2.glendale.edu/schedules/deptsched.asp?term=20061&type=&dept=SPANISH
It looks like Spanish 104 (Intermediate) is about equivalent to AP Spanish 9-10 (Literature) at our school.
It says "reading of more difficult literary texts, and increased emphasis on composition and conversation".

So maybe I can say 104 = AP Spanish Lit 9-10, 103 = AP Spanish 7-8, 102 = Spanish 5-6 (which I need to take over summer), 101 = Spanish 3-4, and Spanish 110 = Spanish 1-2.

Give me some feedback.
