Mail delivery can take from one to two and half weeks from the States. First university to make use of an email to convey congratulations happened today! Thank you Lawrence! Snail mail is somewhere out there as a follow up.

Hey!! Congratulations on the acceptance to Lawrence! I can't imagine having to wait that much longer than everyone else for snail mail acceptances. So glad y'all got the email! Way to go!!!!!!!!! ~berurah

Ah, Lawrence. One of my absolute favorite schools! I have had the chance to interview various faculty and administrators there several times and always come away thinking how pleasant and down to earth they all are. Unfortunately, my daughter won't even look at it because we share our last name with the school. Congratulations!!! That is wonderful news.

I have never been. It is my son's secret! He loves Wisconsin. After the Mediterranean, it's a contrast and a fascination. But they seem to run a "tight ship," as far as I am concerned in the best sense of the term.

Overseas,
Congrats from another overseas mom whose son heard yesterday! 13 months ago my other son got his first acceptance...from Lawrence. It is a great school for international kids and it had the best admissions office we worked with. Son #2 has a bevy of friends who have applied...

My son #2 is awaiting one letter that was sent to our US mailing address which then forwards to us...that could take forever. I think he will call if he hasn't heard by Monday...I am glad he has the first acceptance since the other school is a "reachy reach."

Anyways, congrats!!

Thanks everyone, congrats to you all as well. And happy hunting to you Carolyn! More to come for all.

I don't understand some schools' insistence on snail mail. (Like MIT, for gosh sakes.) It just increases the anxiety levels at an already stressful time.

Yes, I was surprised that a school as tech-savvy as MIT wouldn't choose to make decisions available online.

Does anyone know if Lawrence emails were sent for domestic acceptances also?

Digmedia, I don't think so. They said it was done since international mails can be very slow. Which is true.
