I’m a STEM student, but interested in the Blount community. Is it possible to be a member of both Blount and the honors college? Is it difficult to fit in the requirements for both programs?
When I visited in the fall, HC made arrangements for me to speak with the director of Blount and he said it is possible and even common to be a member of both, but they only get a few engineering students. It is probably easier if you are in a liberal arts STEM program.
My D is in Honors and she was accepted to Blount. I can’t answer the questions about how STEM works. She was told that many members of Blount have double majors so it seems that there is enough flexibility. I think it also depends on how many AP credits you come in with.
