Blue Book Critical Reading Edition 2 Pg 479 #16

How come the answer is "unvarying" as opposed to "average"?

Since the curves of Puerto Rico were sensual, wouldn't the "aggressive two-dimensionality" be "non-sensual", a.k.a. "average"?

Please help :) Any explanations for this?

Help with #19. Why isn't the answer A?

Help with #21. How come the answer is not B?

The online explanations simply don't help much. Thank you :)

In regards to #16, if you read the third paragraph, the author addresses the reptitious architecture of the city. Thus, the answer is “unvarying” and not “average”.

Third paragraph?

i don’t know aobut the exact paragraph, but it’s early on in the passage. she talks about the repeating playground and fences or whatever. It’s before she meets the littel girl with the jump rope.
