crud. They are missing my essay. ....could have sworn i sent it in. They said they will just have throw me int he normal applicant pool.
- still wonder why they didn't tell me i was missing anything... they said htey would by end of december....

I just called Brandeis admissions and I was told the Blue Ribbon Midyear Report was online. Does anyone know where I can find it? I tried searching the site, without any luck.

soo i just called the admissions office cause i was getting a little worried that using the midyear report from the common app wouldnt be good, but i was told (again) that it's absolutely fine to use. :)

and on another note, i happened to inquire as to when the blue ribbon notifications come out.. and she said to expect them towards the end of feb! and i was getting so anxious! looks like we've got close to a month of waiting left........ :(

Is there any way to check Blue Ribbon app status online?

nope, there's no way to find out any status online.. only by calling

am i the only one getting super anxious for decisions yet?

When are we actually spose to find out? Further, will it just show up in the mailbox, or will there be an e-mail first?

I believe we find out on February 15 through the mail. 12 days to go...

eek! time to begin the countdown!

10 days...

clefydan- you said that the brandeis rep said that the blue ribbon apps are only for out of staters? I live in MA and got one.....lol whatever good luck everyone! post the decision when you get it!

8 days... oy

My daughter applied ED using the blue ribbon app and didn't get in= she was deferred. I think it is unlikely she will be accepted, but I was wondering: do you think the deferral puts her into the pile that receive notice in april, or will she still hear early?

mommeleh, what are her stats?

3.6 uw, 1260 sat

5 days left...

ok so i'm wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as i am on this one:

my school hasn't even begun to send out midyear reports. in fact, it hasn't even printed the new transcripts yet. how can brandeis send a decision by the 15th if they haven't seen my midyear grades??

has anyone else not sent in their midyears yet?

i have a feeling i'm gonna be waiting longer than 5 days

my d's school doesn't even begin sending the reports til next week. last year they were even later sending them off. the schools just had to wait...

mommeleh, in regard to your previous question, my guess would be either one could happen. if they had her midyear report they might choose to reconsider her app for the blue ribbon round, but i dont know if that's likely since it hasnt been sent out yet.

id call the admissions office and ask.. im sure theyd clear it up pretty quickly

Aldedya, now that i think of it, it is unlikely she would hear early. The letter indicated they didn't have enough info- the only additional info would be the mid-year report and i know that the gc hasn't even begun to send them. So, it's probably april...

mommeleh,
sometimes people send an additional recommendation (from an ec, perhaps), as well as new info on competitions, charity projects, stuff like that. The letter can also reiterate interest in Brandeis - perhaps a specific department or program that is very attractive to your D. Standardized testing is not her strong point, so the more she can do to let her strengths shine through, the better!
