Boarding Life at St. George's School, Rhode Island

Hey guys,

I was accepted to St. George’s and I have decided to go. I will be enrolling in as a 10th grade student with my twin sister, so I guess it’s a good thing that we will be looking out for each other.

Anyways I just wanted to ask about what does a typical dorm look like or the size of the dorm, or if you are or were a student as St. George’s, what is in the dorm and what things do I need to bring besides the usual clothes. How big is the dorm? How are the bathrooms and toilets? How does laundry work? Also, what is the dress code at St. George’s? I have read that it requires a formal dress code, but I also read that it is quite loose on girls. Is a tshirt and jeans kind of thing appreciated?

I can’t answer your questions with certainty, but I can say that most schools put a lot of those details in their Handbook. I suggest you look on the St. Georges web site for the Handbook and read it cover to cover… if they are like most schools, there is a wealth of information in there! Good luck and congrats.

Thank you! I checked their website but i don’t think they have a Handbook up there yet… Probably in the next few weeks?
