I don’t understand how the teacher completes online reccomendations. And on the Exeter AIF thingy it asked for signatures, how is that possible online?

@ballerina: that’s great to hear? god… i can’t wait for my interviews!

what are your guy’s first choice schools?

My St. George’s interview was amazing too! I swear, if I were to get in to more than one school, I would have no idea what to do with myself. By the way, St. George’s has an AMAZING campus and town My first choice as of now is St. George’s. Deerfield was great, but it was so isolated! Some people like that, but I’m not a huge fan. However, that being said, I would still very much like to go to Deerfield.

i really want to apply there… unfortuantely my dad already scheduled the flights, and i have to be back for my best friend’s birthday. the big one-three(:

Do you mean Deerfield or St. George’s?

st. george

Maybe you could do a Skype interview because you live across the country

hmmm… maybe! i’m not much of a skype person though. and st. george’s doesnt have CREW ):

anyone feeling a bit pre-homesick as the application process starts. weird to say when it’s so far from m!0 but along with filling out applications, i’ve been trying really hard not to be mad with my mom and hug and kiss her on the cheek everyday before i go to school. sigh i’ve started to really appreciate the crap she has to go through with me and my brothers. if i do go, i’m not sure how i’ll survive! lol.

PG (currently at a Chicago-area public, c/o 2012):
Andover
Choate
Deerfield
Lawrenceville
Salisbury
may apply to AOF

I’m leaving next week for my interviews! Exciting…

You’re going to have soooooo much fun rizzle!

Hope so Ballerina!

@ballerina: I’m flying over there tmrw! On your St. George and Deerfield interviews did u feel like you needed to prepare for it? Like someone coach you on how to respond and stuff?

On the St. George’s website, there’s a list of typical interview questions. I looked at those and typed up two sets of answers - 1 for SG and 1 for Deerfield. I also brought the viewbooks from both school on the car journey and read them thoroughly to get a better sense of the school. Also, you should write a list of your hobbies and extra-curriculars so that you don’t forget to mention any during your interview. I did all these things and I think both went really well! But the interviews are much less intimidating then they seem - it’s basically just a conversation with a really nice person. (I think I was lucky enough to get really good interviewers!) Good luck!

Bump… People who have just joined CC should post here if you have questions!

Hi guys. How’s everyone doing? Anyone do an interview at Exeter? ^^@rizzledrizzle funny I should post know, I’ve been following this thread a while :p

I couldn’t go! Dad had business and we couldn’t fly in! But it’s ok Mom AND dad are going later this year so it’s all goood (:

I wish I could have at least one on-campus interview…my parents aren’t enthusiastic about flying over to New England. I’m not visiting any of the schools I’m applying too…>.<

That isn’t too good. :0 You won’t get that magic feel everyone talks about.
