Boarding School Applicants for Entry Year: 2012

Haha is he making you call?

My parents scheduled! :)

My mom did because I have major anxiety when I talk on the phone.

I did because my dads too busy and my mom doesnt speak english but most of the receptionists are very nice

Haha, I called myself. IDK why.

I scheduled them. My mom said that if I want to go to these schools, I have to do everything myself. She said she is only there for filling out financial aid applications, parent statements, and support :)

I did the FA stuff myself… and practically the parent statements, because they were either dictacted to me, I translated, or I made up. (My mother took one look and was like “Oubliez ceci”.)

Why the phone anxiety? I thought most scheduled interviews by email… that’s the way I did all of mine. Actually haven’t got on the phone with any of the BS people, although I’ve been talking a lot with SSS by NAIS.

100 POSTS! :D

Same with me. I’ve scheduled all my interviews via e-mail.

I scheduled all of them on my own by email, but I guess it didn’t actually occur to me to have my parents schedule them on my behalf, since I’m the one applying to boarding school after all :)

I scheduled all of them on my own by email too. Also, CherryRose, relate about the parent statements. I had to translate page after page of Chinese. T.T

@helloel MEEE TOOOO I left a letter off a word on a Choate essay, if it makes you feel any better. I wanted to die when I saw it, but hopefully they just will overlook it since I am not a robot and they are aware of how much this whole process is stressing us out.
And definitely Pink and Green prep, wear those Hunter boots. Cute is good. Hunters don’t send out a dirty vibe at all. One of my tour guides said she looks forward to rainy days because “then there is an excuse to wear our Hunter boots.” Soooooo

@chukkerhead haha! That’s exactly what my friends and I say - I was hoping it would be the same at BS! Thanks!

I was just accepted at a local private day school that is very well-renowned and strong academically  Yay! Even if I don’t get accepted to a boarding school (which I still hope I do) I will have another option to fall back on. Whatever happens, I’m leaving my current school! WOHOOO!!! :)

congrats ballerina!

Congrats ballerina!! That is so great - you must feel so relieved!

Thanks guys! Yeah, it is a huge weight off my shoulder.

Congrats, Ballerina!

Congrats ballerina22, what grade are you in?

I’m in 8th, applying for 9th. What about you?

I’m in 10th applying for 10th
