Hi I'm going to Boarding School next fall on Vancouver Island and I'm just wondering how the food is at BS, at the school I'm going to the students say it's really good but how have your experiences been and how is the whole set up is it like home-style, buffet style, normal 'public high' school cafeteria style dining. How is it...?

Every school is different. Most are cafeteria style, but some schools have formal meals also. Quality varies too. Most are at least good, some are outstanding. We always ask the student tour guide about the food at school. We have gotten responses from - it is fine, to it is really good here. Have you toured this school? Had a chance to eat there?

Phillips Exeter has two dining halls. Both have 2 hot-food lines that vary every day, and also have pasta, sandwich, toast/bagel, fruit, and salad bars. You take as much as you want, and can always queue up for seconds, thirds, etc. Deserts also vary day-to-day, except on weekends there is softserve.
Food is alright, some days are great, others, not too good, but because of the sandwich/pasta/salad/etc bars, there’s always something to eat.
