hsmomstef used to post about United World Colleges. They sounded quite interesting as well.

Yeah, places like Le Rosy are just homes for the wealthy. Even if you could magically get FA, you wouldn’t fit in. Or I know I wouldn’t, anyway.

British boarding schools are, in many ways, unbeatable. But like with everything else in life, much depends on the prospective student and what you seek from the education (experience).

Consider Salem in Germany. First rate – and then some. But very “Euro prep,” if there is such a thing.

I second the United World Colleges. It’s a two year IB program in a truly international environment and there are schools in 12 or 13 countries currently. Extra bonus, it’s free tuition and board for US students.

Le Rosey has an amazing campus, an amazing faculty, and amazing skii zones. I thought it was paradise. I know many people think the school is really snobby, and it IS , but there are also many cool students.
BUT it is really expensive, let me warn you. As in, really really expensive. I think you have to pass an entry exam, but I didnt do it (I went there for my freshman year). And even with FA it is almost impossible to pay.

I don’t know about other BS in Europe, but there is one in France called Sek Les Alpes, its a spanish school in the middle of the French Alps. It has amazing academics, but its really small (40 students!) and I heard you also get to skii a lot. My best friend went there, and you get to learn spanish+french.

In England there are also some other amazing BS you should check out.
