Does anybody have information about prestigious BS overseas? like in France, Italy, Austria, Germany, and the European countries?

TIGER....you didn't post anything. Do you have a question or comment about bs abroad?

Okay that is strange. I opened this thread twice, and it was empty both times which is why I posted what I did above. My post also had trouble going through. When it finally did, I see a post by TIGER. ??

there is TASIS in England and Le Rosey in Switzerland. thats all i know of! sorry. you can always go to one in the states and do a semester abroad?

Eton is at least more prestigious than Exeter or Andover. You can go to Cairo, Naples or Manilla... Most people(the upper class/important people in the region) will be able to recognize Eton.
There are around 3 big ones in Switzerland... That come close.

Le Rosey is in Switzerland. The most expensive boarding school ever. Over $70,000 a year I believe.

Like do they exist? if so can you give me the names so I can possibly look it up and apply there one day (:

oops, sorry I posted that replying to keylyme's comment and the page refreshed after I entered the comment sorry :X!

I'm not so sure that my figures were right...

There are some private boarding schools that don't post figures. They are legacy/referral only. My teacher told me that some break the $150,000 a year mark.

My mom taught at L'ecole de geneve in geneva, switzerland. i know its one of the most expensive schools in the world and doesnt give much FA. only the richest of the richest of the best of the best really attend there.

Has anyone heard of St. Paul's Collegiate School in New Zealand?

The Glenholme School in Connecticut has a tuition rate of $109,500/year

wow, le rosey school looks absolutely stunning, anybody know when the due date for applications are for that school? it does not say on their website

Shawnigan Lakes School in British Columbia, Canada is good. they have traditional preppy prep school ways though. and they don't really have much financial aid, only to canadian citizens. but do have scholarships...

Hmm any prestigious boarding schools in Italy? I googled it but I do not know the language (I want to LEARN!!!)

domestic schools have summer programs in italy!!
that's the most i know about it, sorry

HAHA. LOL, SHAWNIGAN LAKE?

sorry. i live close to there. their financial aid is a joke, btw.

eton is one.. le rosey is one.. uhm, apparently le Rosey's more for the children of the jet-setters than the smart kids. their IB program is fantastic, though. their financial aid sucks too. they say they're implementing it, but..
um, type Le Rosey in search and you'll find a bunch of threads repeating what i said, pretty much. it has a gorgeous campus, though! they get to live on a ski resort :'(

i dont' really know...i heard about SLS and thought it was goodish..
but i agree, their FA is nonexistent

I'm not looking for FA, but yeah Le Rosey GETS TO LIVE ON A SKI RESORT!!!! How wickedly sick is that...

I wonder if they mind if I snowboard?

Italianboarder, the Glenholme school is for special needs students though...

So that's a bit different.
