Love him or hate him, he had a lot of winning Hoosier basketball teams. RIP
He was a good coach and ran clean programs. That said I did not personally care for/respect him for his behavior and his attitude toward women.

I’m an IU grad and was still there for the 1981 NCAA championship. I’ve read several things about him of course. Some really awful, awful things and some great things. Almost like a split personality. I’m on the fence about naming Assembly Hall after him. He did some lousy stuff. But we didn’t know about that back then, so revered the General. Good memories of my youth.
