Bonus Time

I am truly amazed at how much my D is making 1 1/2 years after graduating from college.

She just found out her bonus and pay increase today. Making this much money, having graduated May 2010, is very surprising.

Now I know why so many students are so interested in investment banking jobs.

You work very hard, but can live very well and also contribute to the social causes of your choice. My D is constantly raising and contributing to her choices.

My point being, bankers are not bad people and many contribute a lot to their social issues of choice.

My almost 24 year old D is not yet making a million, $500,000 or $200,000 a year. But she is very close to the latter. She will be generous and help those in need.

She knows already? From my son’s past experience, it is a bit early.
Does she work for a US bank or a foreign bank?

Tell her to save her money. For grad school or bad times.

My son, who has been working in high finance continually since college graduation in 2004 never feels the industry offers job stability…I think that’s why he has been very successful because once you feel complacent, you are shown the door.

morrismm, can i get some general info on your D?

School, position, her compensation 1st year, and projections of 2nd?

I’m just curious and you can be as general as you’d like. Any info is appreciated!
