<p>I'm a junior. and my counselor basically told me i was going to get the harvard or yale book award. i've heard that they matter very little (that is in addition to the fact that the award says you're at the top of your class), is that true? I read the "How they got into Harvard" book, and it seemed to list the Harvard book award as an award/ honor under the applicants (listed under prestigious awards like seimens and sts...odd)..so I'm a little confused.</p>
<p>Harvard/Yale in my school go to the top 2 students of the class</p>
<p>The others go to others for different criteria. It's a nice honor, but it is no seimens.</p>
