So i'm going into my senior year and I don't have much a clue on college and it's ccmponents. I just really want a book that will go over the general factors of how to prepare for college/what to expect. Not only on the application basis, but also something that will explain to me WHAT an application is and its parts. A book that includes college life, college selection, tuition fee, scholarships. Or do I need to get separate books for that? If there's any really good book you can recommend, I would be grateful.
Thank you!

“What an application is” SERIOUSLY? C’mon.

Yeah that is pretty comprehensive for one book. but this may do it: Admission Matters: What Students and Parents Need to Know About Getting into College

Guide to colleges: there are several to pick depending on how competitive of a student you are. Some are part or mostly online, like U.S. News, “Colleges that Change Lives”. But there are best value guides, best 357 colleges, Fiske Guide, Princeton Review etc.

For aid, everyone recommends "How to pay for College without going Broke’

It maybe be overload to get a book about college life at this point, but the Guide books have some descriptive stuff about the college culture, atmosphere and students to take into account.

Look for popular books at Amazon on “college success” then dig into them at your library to find the ones that answer your questions. Ones geared toward first generation college students might be especially helpful. Good luck!

@BrownParent I know what it is dude, calm down. You can’t really avoid hearing about it. I just want an in text definition of its background and components Thank You! I think I’ll start off with the first book you posted.

Thank you! A lot of books popped up when I typed that in. I’ll have to look into it more later.
