Anyone know any good reads on college-related topics? Ones you personally read, perhaps? I know of A is for Admissions. Anyone know any good ones? thanks.

Harvard Schmarvard was absolutely brilliant and so enlightening! I really enjoyed it, highly recommend it, and think you will really enjoy it! Where are you considering applying to college?

Here's a link to the old forum with the books recommended by CC regulars.

Thank u for the link over30.

esahopeful - no where in particular.. I'm a sophomore. been looking, surveying everything.. looking at ivies, lacs, ucs, etc. tufts and some others caught my eye though.

wow....1st post ever^^^^

Something that's a little less "how to get awesome scores, cure cancer, and become president" but still worth a read if your interested in college life and getting ready for the coming year is:

The Naked Roommate by Harlen Cohen
lots of real information, but humerous presentation

I also agree about Harvard Schmarvard.

I read one recently that was awsome. something like 23 tips for the college bound or something. It was really small and red. (i returned it to the library already) I'm sorry that my description is absolutely no help.
