Books for AP Bio/English Language/Stats/Chem

So...I'm taking AP Bio, AP English Language, AP Stats, and AP Chem next year and I was wondering what kind of books you guys recommend for those courses!

Also I am trading exams for English Language, Psychology and the 2004 Art History Exam so PM if interested! (i have bio, chem, stats, ab/bc, world, us his, 1998 art his, euro...i have a lot)

Well froozle, it depends on what you mean by books. Do you mean actual textbooks or prep guides?

Either way, here are my suggestions.

AP Bio: Biology by Campbell (textbook), CliffsAP AP Biology (prep guide) [NOTE: If you solely use CliffsAP, memorize it in and out. It just gives you the BARE minimum for a 5]
AP English Language: I can't really suggest anything here to be honest...
AP Statistics: The Practice of Statistics by Yates (textbook), Barron's AP Statistics (prep guide)
AP Chemistry: Chemistry: The Central Science by Brown (textbook), Peterson's AP Chemistry (prep guide)

If you have any other questions, feel free to keep on asking!

I'm looking more towards prep guides (unless my school provides really bad textbooks) because they are usually more affordable
Thanks shadowing for all the info!

AP Eng Lang: I only prepped with in-class timed writings and practice MC...I don't think a prep book is really necessary, just practice (I got a 5)

AP Chem: I used PR to review and I thought the book was overall pretty useful. All of the info was pretty easy to understand but you might want to supplement your review w other resources since I sometimes felt like PR left out some important details (I got a 5). We used the Zumdahl textbook in class.

I had Cliffs for both and got 5's, although prep books don't really help too much for English Lang... Use them to brush up on vocab if you're unfamiliar with rhetorical terms, I guess. Taking practice tests might also be good for your peace of mind.
