Books for Beginning Med School

What books were you told to get when you first started Med School and were in the introduction stage

You don’t need a book, but I’ve seen this one recommended:

Med School Rx: Getting In, Getting Through, and Getting On with Doctoring by Walter Harwig

https://www.amazon.com/Med-School-Rx-Getting-Doctoring/dp/1607140624/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1521578667&sr=1-2&dpID=51GI51whnAL&preST=SY291_BO1,204,203,200_QL40&dpSrc=srch

At your college, there will be a health professions advisor. This person will hold meetings for any students interested pursuing pre-med and hand out information about what coursework you need, about the MCAT exam and about typical pre-med ECs.

The advisor is available for individual meetings with students if you have questions.

Or you can ask here or in the SDN forums.

Are you asking for books to read in your free time or do you mean what textbooks we used?

The OP is still in high school.

OP, as a high school student,
You should start your PHD dissertation now after you completed reading all medical school books. LOL

Is OP at least from a foreign country and thus is going straight from high school to med school?

OP is a US high school student with a rather naive and distorted view of what physicians actually do.

From his other post–
