can you guys recommend some books to read for CR?
I got 610 on Jan test and I am trying to read as much as I can. magazines and books.. which books? novels? can you guys give me some specific title of the books that might help my CR? I need to increase my comprehension and speed !!!

How is Barron's Verbal Workbook?

..hmm I wasnt asking for workbook..books like novels..

I advise reading really well-written books, with sophisticated vocabulary.

You can discern the meanings of most words given the context of them, and it'll help with grammar as well.

Off the top of my head, Lolita by Vladamir Kabenov comes to mind, as I'm currently reading that right now. I'm noticing some improvement in my crit reading.

Try The Awakening by Kate Chopin, and Civil Disobedience by Thoreau (not a book, but it'll keep you occupied).

Tolstoy all the way! Man, if anything helped me improve my reading skills, it was him. I definitely recommend Anna Karenina and War and Peace. Also, try the Brothers Karamozov by Dostoyevsky. These are all great classic books, both interesting and challenging to read.
Also: Lolita is well written and very thought-provoking, but keep in mind it is a very graphic story of a pedophile and his love affair with a twelve year old girl. As beautiful as the prose is, I don't recommend it. Stick with something you'll enjoy.
