Books to get for a 2400?

I'm at ~2200 right now with no prep. Any recommendations for books?
I looked through the the threads with book recommendations, and saw that Barron's 2400 is helpful. I will be getting that one, but any other recommendations?

Thanks!

The College Board Blue Books.

2nd and 3rd edition of “10 Real SATs” (the old SAT), 1st and 2nd edition of the Blue Book, SAT Online Course.

Unless you’re really lacking in one area, you probably just need to practice. The materials mentioned above are the best way to practice for the test. Make sure you completely understand questions that you miss just in case you do have some weaknesses.

Good luck!

Isn’t this outdated? Why would you be studying analogies for the new SAT?

For my 2400, I just used the 1st and 2nd edition of the Blue Book, the online Official Practice Tests '08 and '09, and the May QAS that I luckily got my hands on. I never used Princeton Review, Kaplan, Barron’s, Gruber’s, any of that stuff.

you don’t have to do the analogies part.

I used those tests for extra practice on the CR sentence completion and passage based questions.

Just wanted to bookmark this.

Doing the analogies might even be helpful because it exposes you to words you might not know.

11 Practice Tests (10 SAT and 1 PSAT) by Princeton Review, Cracking the SAT by PR. That’s all I used.

RocketReview Revolution’s guide to the SAT

really amazing tips. They might sound weird and counterintuitive at first, but once you apply them to the test you’ll see how helpful they are.

i believe that if u are scoring 2200 without practice all you need is a blue book. practice all the test and i am sure u will score a 2400.

Use the blue book. It’s practice tests are made by college board so the wording of the questions are the closest to the real test. If you’re going for a 2400, you really need to be used to the wording of the test so you don’t misread a question and make a costly error.

On a related note, what would you recommend for an 800 in math? I already used the blue book, barron’s 2400, and even crushthetest (a website that I found that had hard questions). I got 740 on the January SAT because of 2 stupid mistakes, and I need to do enough practice to stop making those mistakes…

sigh me too i got -2 it sucks… you need to get perfect to get 800…
