hey, just your average overworked teenager here. I have the summer to finally relax. Any book recommendations to help me calm down and put the world in perspective? I have kinda been losing my mind recently.
I like a lot of sci-fi/mystery books. They have a great sense of escapism and it helps you get your mind off stuff. It’s honestly fun to get wrapped up in their different worlds or situations and it relly does make you think about things.
Not a book but real sweaty exercise, it should be a prescription. Running, cycling, that kind of thing. Something that is hard enough for your mind to feel pain.
Have you considered working with a therapist? The guidance office at school should be able to recommend some, even some that take your parent’s insurance. My daughter’s therapist costs us a $25 copay each week, and is worth her weight in gold.
