Books?

So... I was wondering, how do we find out what books we need for our classes? Also, current UM students: where do you get your books from (not in general, i mean where do you specifically prefer to buy books)

I buy them off of people through amazon, and sometimes half.com..and the I re-sell them back on amazon.

To find what books you need, either go to LSA courseguide, sometimes it says in the class description. or go on the michigan union bookstore (<a href="http://umichigan.bkstore.com/bkstore/content%5B/url%5D">http://umichigan.bkstore.com/bkstore/content</a>) website and put in you class, just dont go through with buying the book from that site.

Or if you wait til you get on campus, just check the bookstore out for the exact title and edition and then buy it online.

Cool, thanks :D ... but what if the course guide doesn't tell what books you need, and the class isn't listed on the bookstore thing? (right now I'm assuming since it's early(ish?) maybe the prof just hasn't figured out what books s/he is using)... but yeah, in that case how do you find out?

Go on facebook. Click on the class name. Stalk the people who are/have been in your class. Befriend them. Seem really obsessive. Ask them.

Many books change for the same class as the profs change, so you cant just assume who took the same class another semester has the same book. I think you should just wait a little until the book shows up on the bookstore site..or just wait 'til you get on campus..whats the hurry? You have 2 months.

I picked up one of my books and it's half finished because it's interesting, not because I intended for that to happen.
