books

Wow, aleut, that is awesome!

We’re going to put the refunds aside to use for the initial outlay in the spring.

Momreads, do you think the books will be ready to be picked up during Alabama Action? Never mind, the kids probably don’t have time to go to the bookstore then.

But maybe they can pick them up on Monday before classes?

When can we start ordering books?

Montegut: Have him pick the books up the Monday before classes. He’ll have time between WOW events. As for ordering, my son already has books for the coming semester. He checks the listings regularly on the SupStore site to see if anything has been added. Fortunately, for one class, he has the book from last year. For another class, he does not expect to have books (it’s the nature of the class).

Can you take advantage of the “tax free” weekend to buy books at UA or is that an exclusion???

Another question…does anyone know if you will need all 3 of the bundles for Spanish 101??

Bamafana: I don’t think that they allowed tax free on books last year. As for the Spanish 101 class, I believe that “choose one” means, “choose one” of the three or so listed. You may want to double check with the SupStore to see if there is a preference that most instructors have.

Thanks momreads! I will.

The tax free weekend only applies for textbooks costing under $50. That said, if the Supestore was offering discounted shipping, it might be financially prudent to ship the books to your home as there should be no sales tax for orders shipped OOS.

That’s a good call also SEA_tide. Thanks!

aleut…are you a real aleut? im thinking based based on the scholarships you got…it must be a long journey

^^^Yes I am, but I’ve been living in Alabama for a while, so no big deal.
