Hi well seems like a got a decent SAT both in writting and reading, 670 and 690 respectively. But, I got a 610 in math and this is supposed to be the easiest section. Also it was t one I felt I did the best on the test. I don't know if it was overconfidence. So from any of you genius students who get such incredible scores such as 2100 and above do you have any good tips to boosting your score? I would appreciate the help.

one reason a lot of very smart people don’t get 800s on the math section is because they get careless. The material is minimum

There are a lot of different tactics for the math section and you can find all of them online.
-process off elimination
-picking numbers
-picking answers to test the question

One thing you should always do after you finish a math question is, look at it again and make sure it “makes” sense. thats is a life saver.

if u’re good at math, then just practice. you’ll see dirty tricks ETS are trying to pull.
my first SAT math w/o prep was 600, after prep,i got 770 SAT I, and 800M2 subject test~

so its all about practice ~

Take the ACT (if not strictly because its a full 2 hours shorter and has a more logical set-up.

It sounds like you were like me, (a “genius” kid)
I scored a combined 2130 after taking the test twice
Math: 670 SAT II Lvl. 1: 690
CR: 730
Writing: 730

I found the ACT math to be much easier because it was more based on what you know and not how well you can interpret the SAT’s questions (and I took the test three times so I knew what to expect). If you still are insistent on taking the SAT, follow commentcomment’s advice. Also, check out number2.com for free test prep.
