Bored in Alg 2/Trig

Play “teacher bingo.” Get a few other people in your class who are bored and each make a grid, however big you want, and put in any sayings or words that your teacher says pretty often. Shout bingo after you get __ in a row!

Might as well practice on olympiad problems, seeing as how AMC this year got cancelled because of the east coast snow.

^ lmao, I want to try that.

The UCLA bookstore has a compendium of every IMO problem ever.

or for like 50 years. I think it might come with solutions.

Now I’m going to add that to my wishlist of math books.

^ Wow, you have list of math books you want? (I don’t…)
My parents take those things seriously so my brother’s room is FILLED with advanced physics/math/chemistry/biology stuff. However, if I ever need it? It’s only ten metres from my room :)

See, my parents never really cared. They thought I was advanced enough.

Why don’t you do an online Pre-calc class so you can take AP Calculus next year? That way you won’t have to self study the entire curriculum.

^^ You probably are though. Its people like me and my brother that have the books because we need it (to motivate us to study), haha.

I am doing that over the summer. Problem is, we don’t have AP Calc. We’re an IB School. I could do Precalc to SL 2, but I know colleges only accept HL 2 math credit. I am taking Calc AB online junior year and Calc BC online Junior year. And HL 2 to me is much more fun than SL 2.

Dude… you have a month of school left. Seriously.

After all of the IQ/Arrogance/Way smarter than your peer posts, we find out you are in Algebra II (Nothing against people in Alg. II, but this specific case humors me).

Yeah, I suspect it is humorous.

^^Agreed. :D

Well, can’t change the past I suppose.

^That’s loser talk

Well, I’ve spent a long time having a grudge against my middle school and spent so much time being resentful. I figure it’s about time I let it go, take precalc, then decide on whether to stay in HL 1 or go to SL 2 math.

“After all of the IQ/Arrogance/Way smarter than your peer posts, we find out you are in Algebra II (Nothing against people in Alg. II, but this specific case humors me).”

Yeah because smart people never take Algebra. They just intuit it. Obviously. Having to learn, that’s for stupid people. What kind of idiot has to ever learn anything? Right?

^ Lmao. That made my morning.

bump 10char.

Well honestly, Alg 2 as a sophomore is for the average kids. It is definitely ironic in a sense.

i.e. I’m not bad at math, and I took in 8th grade.
