Boston College Attitude Towards Homosexuality

I am applying to Boston College for the fall 2014 semester as a transfer student. I'm coming from a very open and accepting environment when it comes to homosexuality. I am fortunate enough to not have to face much discrimination. But with the move, I am wondering if that will change.

Does anyone have any experience at Boston College that can say whether or not it is socially challenging to be yourself within the institution?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you kindly.

The Northeast is generally a pretty gay-friendly environment.

While I can’t offer a firsthand perspective they seem to have resources for LGBT students.
