What was different on the portal status??

Which school did your daughter apply to? Was it business? I just checked have not heard anything yet

She got into Arts and Sciences. Her Portal changed in the application status asking for her admissions deposit. Alumni tweeted a welcome message to her within hours. No letter received yet. Apparently letters are being processed.

Congratulations USCANDBMOM! May I ask what your daughters stats are?

Congratulations USCANDBCMOM. Did your daughter get a call before any changes were made on the portal? What is her major? What state are you from?

Has anyone else seen any portal changes or is anyone aware of anyone else being admitted from the wait list?

USCANDBCMOM’s daughter is the only one who has been accepted? Anyone else?

No word here

I did not receive any news/changes to my “Application Status” today, and I too applied to the CAS.

Nothing here- I applied to the business school

We did not receive any phone calls. We are from California and she is in the Arts and Science department. I am sure the meld will be ongoing. Stay positive. I don’t have her exact stats in front of me but she is a VERY well rounded student with good (not great) grades, sports, ASB and community service award for the highest accomplishment for her school. She was waitlisted to several top schools. She got in Spring semester at USC but her brother goes there and she doesn’t want to walk in his shadow. USC is extremely difficult to get into if you are from California. Boston College was her dream school.

Congrats, Mom.

As a fellow Californian (SoCal), feel free to send me a pm if you have any questions.

I got got a text from my son. His good friend just got off BC’s waitlist. He’s thrilled.

USCANDBCMOM and Viewer: Congrats on your daughter’s and son’s friend’s acceptance to BC. Again, I think that BC waitlisted many students (btw, very good students) who have BC as their dream school!

Someone had mentioned in earlier post that BC had said that by mid may (meaning by tomorrow!) they would notify everyone. I wish that that were true. This waitlist status truly sucks. You just want to know!!

One important thing: please all waitlisters out there who are patiently(impatiently?) waiting for BC’s reply, please maintain the communication and let everyone on this thread know whether or not you have been accepted. Why? (a) I am trying to determine something(b) I don’t know about you guys but because I enter this thread so many times a day, I feel a connection to many of you who post regularly and I wish to know what finally happened to many of you. Please let us know the news (hopefully positive ones!).

Most importantly, I wish, from the bottom of my heart, that everyone who truly wishes to be accepted at BC and has BC as their dream school, to be accepted by Boston College. That is what I wish for the most right now. Good luck to you all!

Viewer: Your son’s friend got accepted from which school?

Thanks for sharing USCANDBCMOM. My son is from MA and admission it is very difficult if you are from here. We keep praying.

I am from Rhode Island and dyingggg over all the news of waitlist results being released. I tried for a very long time not to get excited about BC because what are the chances of actually getting in lol but I can’t help it! Where did everyone put down their deposits?

Hi, I just called BC Admsission’s and they are still maintaining that no waitlist decisions have been made and they will send out decisions via snail mail whether accepted or not.

USCANDBCMOM was your daughter possibly a priority waitlist? Did you have a connection at BC? I know that a friend of my son’s was notified at another school that she came off the waitlist on May 1st, well before any other waitlister’s were notified. She had strong connections to the school.

lacm12: did they tell you when they would be sending these letters?

My friend’s gc really “went to bat” for him, but no other connections.

By June 1st, but possibly sooner. Unfortunately, no new info here.
