To all of my fellow deferrals or rejectees, please enjoy my tweet (and follow me on twitter if you want @mollymagoo):

“Why is college so hard to get into nowadays? Are kids getting smarter? I thought my generation was supposed to be dumb bc we eat tide pods and are addicted to nicotine from juuling. Someone please tell me.”

FYI these are rhetorical questions purely for enjoyment.

Best of luck to all, and to all a good night!

is there a facebook group for admitted students?(:

Applied CSOM. 1500 single seating. 97 weighted. Very difficult HS. Lots of great ECs. Leader of Robotics team. Gave many speeches on behalf of Robotics in and around community. Increased number of women participating and becoming leaders on the team. Mentored the middle and younger schools. Did Houses of Humanity, built houses in Guatemala, played Varsity Softball and always had a leading role in last three plays and worked lighting backstage for the Musicals. Got many awards at state level and ran a Statewide recycling campaign. Was on Discipline Council, school ambassador. Took rigorous classes and all 4s and 5s on APs. National Commended. AP Scholar. Great teacher recs. Probably a few more things. What else can I do… Bummed

To date, no one with my stats from my HS has ever been deferred. Ugh.

Accepted Arts and Sciences!
GPA: 4.2
SAT: 1470
Assigned 4 years of housing

Did you have any hooks?

I posted above and just not sure what else I could have done.

Just got accepted! I had a 4.0 weighted and a 34 superscore

BCs Early Action pool increased 54% this year. This is mostly kids who applied ED to very selective schools who wouldn’t have had the chance to apply EA in past years. All this results in a significantly stronger EA pool than they’ve seen before. The only good thing is that it means that RD is probably going to have less kids applying and be less competitive than in previous years. Just my two cents.

I believe the facebook is “the official boston college class of 2023” !!

Congrats to everyone that got in…I follow these results every year and every year it seems harder and harder to get in to BC which says something about the school and the caliber of the students applying. This was an amazing bunch of extremely accomplished applicants. Good luck to all of you.

Deferred.
High GPA, 34 ACT superscore, IB Diploma candidate, outstanding extracurriculars, religious education teacher, highest leadership position in organization with 7500 members across New England, internship at law firm, great recs
