Boston College Class of 2024

You have a great profile. I was in a similar situation ie. I got into a number of state schools with full tuition scholarship but got wait listed in a number of Tier 1 colleges until I got accepted at BC. Hang in there, you will get into one soon. Good luck

Decisions are out and I was just admitted to the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences Class of 2024!

waitlist

My daughter was waitlisted:

OOS: WA
GPA: 3.92 UW 4.3W
SAT: 1460
APs: 9 APs, 4 honors and 1 college course

Tons of EC, including student leadership, 500+ hours CS (local and national), concert choir and local theater.

Congrats to everyone accepted! It’s an exceptional school and who knows, perhaps my girl will join you in the fall. Stay safe - keep 6 feet away - wash your hands

Waitlisted but with a sat score of 1140 surprised it wasn’t a rejection. Already accepted the offer :). Congrats to everyone else who got in ! Much deserved to you, hope you enjoy being an eagle!! BC is a top for me so if I do not get off the waitlist I will transfer next year.

Accepted in Connell School of Nursing! Waiting for Finaid now!

Waitlisted for Connell Nursing.

3.74 unweighted, 4.19 weighted
9 APs
Over 500 hours of community service, including camp counselor, hospital volunteering etc
I was a little surprised about waitlisting but pretty happy, especially for nursing which is very competitive there.

What up guys I got into Morrissey and on my letter and it said 4 years of guaranteed housing. For most ik its 3, so idk what this means but I looked it up and it said that 4 years guaranteed is for people who are presidential scholars, student-athletes, and nursing students but I’m none of those so what does that mean. if someone could help me out that’d b great

I got accepted into MCAS! A little bit surprised because I got deferred from Villanova and then waitlisted, but got into American which has a similar acceptance rate. Anyway, here are my stats:
GPA: 4.02
Class Rank: 13/126
SAT: 1330 - only took it twice and this was my first score
5 APs - Spanish Lang -5
Biology -3
Stats -3
All As except for one A- and one B+
I took 2 dual enrollment online courses and one class at Middlebury College.
Many clubs, varsity sports all four years of high school, white female from Vermont.

Was not exactly expecting to get in due to my stats. Both of my parents went to BC and I met/ talked to an admissions because my parents were taught by his father.
Personal connection could have played a roll, along with legacy and multiple visits over the years.
I’m super happy I got into BC and very lucky! I hope all who were waitlisted get in, because you still have a good chance! Not positive I will be attending, but the odds are very likely.

Waitlisted! (I was shocked about this decision)
5 AP’s

Accepted the offer! I’m excited. Congrats on everyone’s decisions!

Hi all. BC offers 4 years of housing to many (but not all or even most) student athletes, nursing and Gabelli. Gabelli students get to pick their dorms as well. The other students offered this are the top 10 to 15 percent of the admitted class in their calculus. This has been fluctuating at bit at times but It’s something along those lines. It’s a perk and a nice choice to have. Congrats.

However, BC tradition is two years on junior year off and everyone returns for senior year. As matter of fact, the most popular junior year dorm is just bit off campus and near the student rental housing. I think they want to be near their friends and the dorms are apartment style. But getting into there is a lottery. So it’s not a big deal to be off campus. Many kids love it. Their own kitchen etc.

By senior year, when everyone comes back to campus as a group, you have to pry them out of their dorms to leave in the end.

The longer you attend the more it seems to become an essential part of who you are and your home. It’s a very consistent experience.

First year can be tough. The academics are no joke and there’s a lot of high achievers in a rounded way. It takes time for you all to bond. But bond you do. Alumni are very tight.

It seems to just get better each semester from that social and friendship standpoint.

So congrats to all.
