Boston college dorm, freshman

would you recommend bringing laundry detergent, dryer sheets, etc. or are you provided with these products? and what type of underbed storage is recommended?

Yes, you definitely need laundry detergent and dryer sheets, they do not provide those. It also costs money to use the washers and dryers, and you can pay with quarters or Eagle Bucks on your Eagle One account (very easy to add on Portal). As for underbed storage, those big plastic crates and bins are usually good. I personally moved all my stuff into the dorm in big plastic bins (just threw everything in there), unpacked them and kept the bins under the bed for storage.

Someone suggested Purex Complete laundry sheets…they look like dryer sheets, but have detergent and fabric softener built in. It’s a much lighter, space saving alternative to liquid/powder detergent and the box of fabric softener sheets. Oh, and it might help to bring the removable hooks that you can stick on the walls or wardrobes to hang jackets, hats, etc. Hope this helps!
