Boston College or Cornell University? HELP!

Since Boston College only allows for REA or RG and not ED or EA, I’m not allowed to pick any ED schools. However, I want to apply ED for Cornell.

Should I do RG for Boston and ED for Cornell?
or
REA for Boston (Greater chance of getting in?) and RG for Cornell?

My Sat is 1990 so I sincerely doubt I’ll get into Cornell in the first place, so should I just abandon the thought of ED for Cornell? And go with Boston College? HELP!

With that SAT, Cornell is a big reach. I would get your SAT up by 110+ points or I wouldn’t seriously consider applying, especially not ED.

Should I focus more on Boston College then and abandon Cornell?

EA offers little advantage into BC and thus to you.

While an extreme long shot and likely rejection due to low test scores, ED at Cornell is likely your only chance to be admitted there. Besides admission, the best possible outcome for you is to ED to CALS, be deferred and then Wait Listed RD. With the WL, you are then offered a guaranteed transfer option after one year.

ED to cornell, RG to BC
