Boston College or Holy Cross?

For pre-med...kinda torn between the two. Also if I get more good news next week...

Georgetown vs. Duke vs. Boston College vs. Holy Cross- those are my big 4...what would be better for an aspiring physician?

I went to Holy Cross along with 4 others from my Massachusetts high school in the Boston suburbs. Two were pre-med and are now practising physicians. Another was prelaw and is now Chief Counsel at a Fortune 500 Insurance company in Massachusetts. I was a math major then got an MBA at Michigan and worked at Microsoft during the hey day and am now financially set for life. Bottomline is that HC got us where we wanted to be. I’m sure the other schools will do this for you as well. It is a question of fit. I liked the small size of HC and the strong community feeling as a student and as an alumnus. In general, HC people are friendly and supportive.

Half of my dad’s friends who went to HC are now successful doctors. Duke is very good for pre-med as well.

Good heavens, nedlfanders…what a wonderful problem to have!! ;)

It doesn’t look like you have a bad choice in the bunch. CONGRATULATIONS!

haha…well not exactly, just got rejected from Duke…hopefully Georgetown won’t let me down

IMO - BC over HC. Given the schools are academically equivalent BC has it over HC in campus, sports, etc. Nice choice to have though.

For what it’s worth, Princeton Review’s rating of academics for BC is 88 and 98 for HC.
