Here’s some of the schools that I added . I won’t post the other schools because I’ve already been chanced for those or I know for sure that they are a crapshoot lol. Thanks again!
You’re GPA looks great! (not sure what UC weighted means) but your unweighted is quite strong and your weighted shows that you take on challenging courses while still maintaining great grades! plus, while your ecs aren’t centered around any specific interest (well kinda) you do show a strong pattern of continuity and plus you maintain multiple, impressive looking positions (vp, editor in chief, president, etc.) - so basically your ECs are quite strong as well since you show an immense amount of dedication and passion for each activity (which is great!!)
The only thing I could see that needs a bit of bolstering would be your SAT score - your score isn’t bad at all, but I see that your lowest subscore was in math. The math section of the SAT is actually the easiest section to improve in since practice can easily raise your score by fifty points. However, Santa Clara’s average SAT score is around a 2090 so getting a score considerably higher than that average will improve your chances by quite a bit.
Basically, I would focus on raising your SAT score. Other than that, your grades and ECs look great and you’re definitely on the right path towards one of the three colleges mentioned above (despite how little I know about each one)
Best of luck to you in the future!!
I’d advise you to try and improve that math SAT score since the distribution is a bit unbalanced. UW and W GPA are stellar, and overall SAT (in general) is great. Good ECs and great course rigor.
Boston College: Low Match (High Maybe)
Santa Clara: Low Match (High Maybe)
USC: Low Match (High Maybe)
So, basically that means its definitely not a reach school, and at the same time, its not a safety. It also means you still have a good chance of getting in. You’re basically almost on-par with the stats for that college.
I know this iits weird but I base the whole chances thing on 3 categories: Reach, Maybe and Good Bet. A high maybe means you’re almost in the “Good Bet” category.
That whole response might have you thinking “lol, whats this guy saying”, You can also use this calculator to find out more (input college name and your stats and it will “calculate” your chances):
Your GPA and test scores are brilliant, I think USC is a good match, if you step everything else up a bit more then I think you can get into Boston as well! I don’t know much about Santa Clara so I won’t give you false hopes. Good luck!
