Boston College v Stonybrook v Binghamton

I know posts like this have been done a thousand times before, but I really want some opinions from current students. I am interested in chemistry/ biochemistry. I know all three have strong academics, I would like to know what is strongest in my area of study, about professors and what they r like, and social life. Thank you!!!

Also would like to know if it would be worth the cost. StonyBrook is cheapest for me with a scholarship, then Binghamton, and i haven’t gotten FA yet from BC

Stonybrook has a great reputation in science, but very very large classes for some intro classes. Some students love that, but others find it very difficult to navigate.

Stony Brook is probably strongest in sciences out of all the three. I don’t know how much aid you got from BC, but I would not recommend paying sticker for BC’s science programs.

Stony Brook does have a reputation for being a bit of a suitcase school so I’d look into that.

@emandaye @WildestDream Thank you! So would you say (depending on financial aid) it would be between BC and Stony Brook in terms of reputation? Where would you say Binghamton fell?

I’m not sure what’s the best for you personally. but this is the 6th thread regarding BC that one of the posters knocked on CC. Take with a grain of salt.

I think Binghamton would be an excellent choice – especially if BC proves to be too costly.
