Hello All
what is a better school for me to choose (assuming I get into both). I plan on majoring in either computer science or marketing.
They’re quite different colleges, apart from the fact that they’re both in Boston. What do you want out of a college experience?
well what exactly are the big differences between them? I know BC has better sports but what else?
For starters:
BC: Catholic, suburban, traditional college campus with Gothic architecture, appx. 10,000 undergrads, core curriculum
BU: urban, no real traditional campus space like a quad – it’s spread out over a mile of Commonwealth Ave. which runs right through the middle of campus, appx 20,000 undergrads
Generally speaking, students like one or the other, not both. You should really spend some time researching them to suss out all the differences. Good luck!
Agree, they are very different colleges. Nobody who never met you should tell you which is a better fit. I suggest you do some research on your own. Here are some ideas you can start with:
-Look through the websites of both school carefully.
-Get your hands on some good college guide books (ex. Fiske, Princeton Review, Insiders Guide etc.) and start reading.
-Look at the school newspapers online.
-See if there are online information sessions/tours available.
A visit if possible also would be helpful. Even if no formal visits going on a drive by would be helpful.
