Boston College vs. Emory

I really need some help to decide which college I'd like to attend: Boston College or Emory. I was hoping you could answer a few questions of mine about the school. Both are equally weighing in my head and I had a few things that I'd love to ask a graduate about. Don't feel obligated to answer all of my insane questions by the way.

-How are the people there? Were they more preppy, nerdy, or a mix? I am a nerd (who loves superheroes and Harry Potter and more) and really want to fit in.
-How conservative are the people? I'm a fairly liberal person and can act very weird and quirky, and I'd really like to fit in and be accepted for my oddities.
-How is school spirit? I know that sport teams are lacking a lot and I worry that people may not be as "connected" as they could be in a bigger school
-Is there a good network after college for jobs? I plan on majoring in computer science and theater (with a bigger focus on theater and directing) and I really want to make sure that there'd be opportunities for me after school.
-How does housing work for all four years?
-Have you studied abroad, or do you know anything about the programs?
-Did you truly enjoy your experience? Are there any little stories you could tell me about your experiences that may sway my decision?
-Are people very accepting of others of different races, regional backgrounds, or other things?

I’m pretty familiar with both these schools and I’ll try to answer some of your questions as best as I can. While you will get a great education at both, I would say Emory certainly carries more prestige (if you care about that) and has better networking as it is by far the best school in Atlanta and Georgia, where as Boston College probably isn’t in the top 5 in the greater Boston Area. These two schools are very different, Boston College is a catholic school so you will find more social conservative and preppy type kids (not everyone but more than emory). Emory is lacking in its school spirit when compared to Boston College. Boston College is in the ACC, an elite athletic conference where they are very competitive in every sport and you will get the full feel of those “football saturdays” with tailgating etc. Unless sports is VERY important to you it sounds like you will feel more comfortable at Emory but both great options.
