Help - oxford or boston college?

Is Oxford respected or is it just considered a back-door to Emory? Do you really ever make friends with kids at Emory or are your best friends always the Oxford kids? Is the Emory campus safe - someone mentioned there are crackheads in the streets just 3 blocks away?
Could anyone give me some advice? Boston College has a great reputation in the Northeast.

boston college is more prestigious than oxford, it is also the most beautiful campus i have ever been on

well Emory > BC, but BC > Oxford…so idk, Oxford in itself is beautiful for its own reason, its nature orientated and a lot smaller, you will get a better experience at BC for sure in respect to the debate between Oxford and BC. Emory is just as safe as any urban school, its not in the actually city, its in an old money neghborhood. Emory’s reputation in SE > BC’s reputation in NE though, it is considered the Harvard of the South. Of course your best friends will probably be Oxford kids since you met this first and already built relationships with them so that would be the most logical, but I am sure you can make friends at Emory also, just depends on how outgoing and friendly you are.

Yes, Emory’s reputation in SE > BC’s in NE.

When you graduate, you won’t be graduating from Oxford. You’ll be graduating from Emory. Keep that in mind.

What you’re worrying about is the junior year transition from Oxford to Emory. I don’t think people will care, or even ask junior year if you’re from Oxford or Emory. I’m most likely going to “Emory” Emory and I seriously couldn’t care less, when I become an upperclassman, if people are from Oxford or Emory.

hey i have the same problem but i have gotten into Emory College rather than Oxford but i have to chose in the next couple of days and im so confused???

Pick Emory.
