This year is different
That’s what they said last year. I’m not saying don’t be cautious, it’s good to be aware of stuff like that, but it seems like the same story all over again.
@Jesuit123 what did they say last year? This makes me really scared…
@Eagle1095 where are you getting your information?
Basically that they were gonna accept a REALLY REALLY small amount of people (or might not accept anyone at all) off the waitlist. Whenever they had a batch of acceptances go out, they were very clear to say, “we accepted a small batch!” “Now this one’s smaller!” “Next one’s even smaller!”. It didn’t feel like they were legitimately as tiny as they were saying.
@Jesuit123 is that what they’re saying is going to happen this year? I don’t understand where the other user is hearing all of this info because I haven’t seen anything on their twitter. That’s funny they said that last year…I heard they accepted over 100 people which is more in comparison to like ivies
I don’t know what they’re saying for sure this year, I’m just comparing what Eagle said to what I heard from them last year. Seems like Eagle knows something at least.
Ok that makes me feel a little bit better!
Could you please let us know where you heard it was different this year? @Eagle1095
^^^? @Eagle1095
Specific to me. Doesn’t apply to anyone else
Last year, my child was accepted off of the waitlist on May 13th. It was a Friday night and we received an email at around 5pm. That was the first wave of offers. I believe there were at least two more rounds of offers to very small groups and everyone was given several days to make a decision. I asked the admissions office this past fall how many were admitted off of the waitlist and they said 117. Getting admitted to BC was life changing. It is a special place. I wish you all luck and good news and hope you hear tomorrow.
Hey guys, I’m on the waitlist too but is it too late to send them the letter of continued interest? I have not sent in any because they said not to send in additional things in. Also, if it is not too late to send the letter, can anyone tell me where I can find my counselor? Thank you.
It’s never too late to send a letter. Here is a link to the BC website that shows regional counselors. Good luck.

I say go for it, jskdbe: in the event that you are not accepted during the first wave, it would be beneficial for the admissions team when making decisions for the second or third wave. If you are accepted during the first wave I doubt an extra letter at this point would harm or benefit you.
Thank you guys I just sent it in. Good luck to all of you !
@jskdbe good luck to you! Keep us all updated!
Transfer decisions were sent today, hopefully waitlist decisions are soon
@Colleen8 thank you for the information. Hopefully, we will hear good news tonight! I’m praying for alll of us who are so passionate about BC that we are talking to each other. Good luck!
@ABEagle I agree! But didn’t they say on their Twitter that they won’t start releasing decisions until next week?
