On their twitter it says they will decide if they are using the waitlist itself next week. Don’t get your hopes up about hearing a decision for a while
@jenjen2021
See below. It says “likely” which provides some flexibility. It’s hard to say though I would still check tonight, just in case.

Notification of our ability or inability to utilize the waitlist will likely come the week of May 15.
“To utilize the waitlist” does not necessarily mean WHO on the waitlist will be getting off, it means if they can even move to the waitlist…
Bc admissions: “No waitlist communication has been sent. We will notify to what extent we plan to utilize the waitlist, if at all, by May 19.”
Just curious, for what colleges you guys got waitlisted? I’m waitlisted for College of Arts and Science
@jskdbe did you ever hear back from your regional rep?
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but from what I’ve heard, BC over enrolled the freshman class, which also explains a more competitive transfer round than previous years. The amount of transfer spots available halved from last year.
@Dontskipthemoose that sucks! I really loved BC. Do you think there is any chance they will pull from the waitlist this year?
@jenjen2021 can’t say for sure but there is always a chance.
@Dontskipthemoose are you on the waitlist as well?
@jenjen2021 no I am a transfer student.
Also since there are less spots, I can only imagine that the waitlist pool isn’t that big. Best of luck!
@Dontskiptgemouse. How did you hear about overenrollment?
@Dontskipthemoose How did you hear about the overenrollment? Can you elaborate? Thanks.
@ABEagle a transfer waitlist had someone call admissions and that was the info. I thought it was reputable since BC said they were expecting a transfer class of 75 students, which is half of how many students they enrolled last year.
@Dontskipthemoose Thank you for the update. It sounds like we will know something later this week.
@jenjen2021 no I have not
I was also told that the class is over enrolled by my rep.
@cccrsn I’m assuming that means that no one will be removed from the waitlist then?
@cccrsn also, did you regional rep say anything about the class being over enrolled?
@jenjen2021 No, it means only what it says. The class is over enrolled. Could the waitlist still open? Perhaps - there are people enrolled at BC are certainly waiting for other acceptances that may leave the class and therefore they’ll go to the waitlist, certain students on the waitlist are ones they fee deserve a spot, they want to grow the class size, etc. Sure, the waitlist might not be used at all, but that is always a possibility. As they said on their twitter they will decide if they are going to open the waitlist this week, so all we can do is wait to hear. And yes, like I said above that is coming from the representative.
