@dreambig101 i am a female i guess what my question is should that be a really big deal? how much time do people usually spend in their dorms in college (sorry really ignorant about these types of things…)

@chuckly congrats on your acceptance! Case will miss you! :-h good luck!

@chuckly- BC does try their best to detriple these situations. Usually a month into the school year there is some movement and BC will email you to ask if you would like to move. These openings are typically on the Newton campus. Most students do not want to move from upper. That being said, not all waitlisted students get forced triples. BC is just letting you know that there is a possibility of a forced triple.

Did you guys sign up for the orientation?

@Sdgal2 thanks so much!!! hoping that everyone on this forum gets off the waitlist! its been great getting to go through this experience with all of you thanks for all of your help guys, I really appreciate it good luck to you all either way, wherever you all end up going, i hope you all are happy, have an exciting undergraduate experience, and make the best of the opportunity to go to college!! sorry for the extremely long post

@dreambig101 so its not fixed in stone then i guess (that i would have to live in a forced triple?) btw do you have any idea about how the dorm buildings differ?

Forced triples can work, and are only a big deal if it is for you.

UCLA for example, has been under a long-time dorm replacement, so it almost only offers ‘Forced Triples’ to Frosh, and it seems to work ok.

My D’s buddies were in a forced triple and they loved it. They became like brothers. Of course, not every roomie will be a life-long friend.

@chuckly- upper campus is right next to the buildings that your classes are in. The Newton campus is off of the main campus and you have to take a bus to get to your classes. You can read about the two campuses on the BC website.

do only wait listed students get forced triples?

can someone clarify when and how we will receive our fin aid package? i haven’t paid my deposit yet… just waiting on that

And is there a deadline on when we have to pay the deposit?

@Lucifest its may 22 (the deadline for the deposit). @bassinator you may want to call the financial aid office about that… from what i’ve heard its a bit more difficult for waitlisted students but definitely call and ask. hope that helps

@lalala777- forced triples can be given to anyone but it seemed as though many waitlisted kids were the ones that were in them this past year.

No one, not even the BC adcoms know if or how often they’ll need to go back to the waitlist.

It’s dependent on how many accept their offers to get the off the waitlist, and then to a smaller extent - summer melt.

Hey guys if your portal hasn’t changed, does that mean you’re not off the waitlist for sure? Mine didn’t change, and now I’m getting all nervous haha

@amitkumar95 there will most probably be more rounds for the waitlist, but that all depends on who accepts from the waitlist and how many other so-called “holes” there are in the BC class of 2018. good luck!

Wait so is the deadline the 22nd for the deposit or is it different for everyone? Cuz I found out Friday and if there are multiple waves of admissions from the wait list then it can’t be the 22nd right?

@Lucifest thats what it said on my package…? i just got mine yesterday… i would suggest looking at what it says on the folder that you should have received…

@chuckly the only reason I’m worried is because I got notified through email saying that my package would arrive on either Tuesday or Wednesday. So it could arrive the day before the deadline and I was hoping to review my financial aid award earlier. Speaking of which, there isn’t an option for financial aid on my agora portal, only the deposit option. Do I check it somewhere else?

@chuckly Thanks man! Congrats on getting in!
