Boston College- Waitlist for Class of 2018

My res life says under the first step “Personal & contact details” that my demographic info is entered wrong and to contact the housing office. Does this happen to everyone when they first send a deposit and I have to wait a day or is this something unusual?

How do I check my financial aid award? I can’t find any options for it and the email said that an acceptance letter will be sent with information on how to see my award. So that implies that it’s already online somewhere right?

Well I got in guys!!!
So I got my package but there’s no financial aid award thing…O_O
So like…???
Oh do you guys know until when we have to decide??

@Lucifest‌ you got an email? I thought BC sends everything by snail mail?

Our daughter got in. A letter arrived with a package. We are thrilled and good luck to all of you guys! I know she will meet wonderful kids there.

@cluelessly‌ congratulations to you + your daughter!! Did she have a change in her portal as well? what area do you live in since you already received your letter?

@chuckly an email was sent to my counselor and I yesterday. It said that a formal acceptance letter would get to my door by Wednesday next week

@Lucifest‌ in what area do you live?? were we all supposed to receive emails? now i’m kind of freaking out…

@chuckly I’m sure it’s not a big deal lol. I live in California. I noticed that other people had correspondence with bc via phone calls, whereas they never reached me through calls. They talked to me through my counselor. So I guess they aren’t very clear cut on their procedure lol

We live in MA @ chuckly there was no e mail and no phone call for us. Not sure about the portall. I do not think she checked. But you are in  I have no doubt

I got my package! Did the people who were accepted regularly (not off the wait list) get the info about probably being in a forced triple or do you think it was just for wait list accepts?

Does anyone know if this is the only round BC will be accepting? I didn’t receive a change on my portal or any mail yet :/

@lalala777‌ in what area do you live? I sill haven’t received anything besides a portal change… kind of scared now…

@gsquared22‌ I’m pretty sure there will be more rounds of people getting off of the waitlist

I live in the dc-va-md area. Yours will probably come on monday!

@chuckly thank you! Keeping my fingers crossed!

just received the package in the md-va-dc area!! good luck to anyone who is still waiting! btw can anyone explain what the forced triple is for the housing thing? kind of confused about what exactly that means… thanks

@chuckly- a forced triple is a room that is meant for two people but they put three people in it. If this happens then you will see a credit on your bill of approximately $1,000.00. One person will get a twin bed and the other two are in a bunk bed.

@dreambig101‌ is that really as crowded as i imagine it to be? how inconvenient is it in reality as compared to how big the BC dorms are?

@chuckly- some rooms seem to work with the forced triple but most of the rooms are quite tight with three. I believe that upper campus is where the forced triples are. The Newton campus has triples but not forced triples. I am not sure if you are male or female but one of the dorms on upper campus is all girls and it is great! If you really want to live on upper rather than Newton, you can request the all girls dorm.
